Music

I love writing – be it about my feelings, thoughts, poems, experiences, and whatever it is that I can write. Luckily, I am a bit of a musician as well, therefore many of my writings can be transformed into songs. You can call me a singer-songwriter, though I’m probably more of a storyteller.

I write – record – produce – perform – mix – and engineer my own songs. With cheap musical and audio instruments (microphone, pre-amp, mini mixer, laptop, midi controller, VST plugins, some sequencer, some sampler, acoustic guitar, bass and electric guitar), I started to record songs in my bedroom.

Back in the days in Jakarta, I used to perform at pubs, radio shows, weddings and other events. For what it’s worth, 8 of my songs have been aired in some of the most famous radio stations back home. Disclaimer: I used to work at one of these radios.

After about 2 years working on my music on the side, I decided to leave home and moved to London to pursue my master’s degree. Being a full-time student, I perform regularly at some open mic nights, friends’ birthdays, and other random events. There, I usually perform together with my Swedish-duet, Sophie – who sings much better than me.

After London, I moved to Sydney, Australia, where I currently live. I haven’t really sang or perform here much, apart from some random work events and open mic nights.

After procrastinating for years and years, I’ve decided to start releasing my songs to streaming platforms. Watch this space, coming soon.
